Senior Adviser Knowledge & Capability

Knowledge and Capability Lead; Digital

Helen leads the Network’s knowledge programme, developing the tools and support which allow places to share their good practice and learning with others. She also supports Sheffield as they implement their Better Connected programme.

Helen is an experienced change agent with prior experience of working in the public and private sectors; particularly in higher education, retail and manufacturing. She has introduced new learning, knowledge sharing and change based approaches to the Department for Work and Pensions and the NHS.

She has considerable experience in helping organisations use social media to support internal and external communications and to share knowledge and learning. She has a keen interest in the use of story and narrative to facilitate change, helping people understand one another’s needs by sharing real life stories.

Helen is helping places to use story telling in order to better understand and more effectively address the needs of their citizens. She is also helping places currently supported by the Transformation Network share what they have learned with others.

Helen has a BA (Hons) in Humanities, an MA in Psychiatry, Philosophy and Society and an MEd in Learning and Development.
